I’m a new XBOX 360 owner. I heard that keeping the system vertical can damage the games. And I hate the way the damn thing looks sitting horizontal.
I made the stupid mistake of turning it from to vertical while playing a game and it scratched the disc up. I got my disc replaced but now im scared that the Xbox is damaged so it will scratch discs even when left horizantal. Is there any damage other than the first disc?
What would happen if i downloaded my scratched COD WaW disk onto my Xbox 360 hard drive? Would it let me even do it?
(The disk is playable, it just cant load certain maps and the sound is messed up. I’m pretty sure this wont work, but if it downloads will the maps be back?)
Also, can i use my friends disk to download the game onto the hard drive then play with my scratched disk? Will the maps work?
I know that hooking up my Xbox via a Media Center Extender will allow me to swap pictures, music , and record TV and such. But what if I want to play my Xbox games? Will it show thru my monitor? If not, is there a way to hook up my Xbox to my LCD monitor? Will playing the Xbox damage the monitor?
besides the performance of less loading time and lagging, does it still play my game fine if it gets damaged(I.e. gets the “wedding ring” on it or gets real scratched up) not if it breaks because i know that. but if you know can you please be real specific or tell me where i can find out thanks.
For how long can we play the xbox 360 console? Is it ok to keep it running for 12hrs or more? If not, can anyone please tell me the maximum amount of time on how long you can use the system? Thank You

While i am playing games on my Regualr Xbox, it keeps saying, the disk you are using is either dirty or damaged when it is not. What do i do?
heyy, i’m just a little concerned…after 3 years…I had my first incident with my X360 getting bumped and then scratching my disc. This has only happened once, but is it possible that when this happens, the Lens itself can be damaged in any way? And how long should the lens actually last with normal play? Just curious….thanks to anyone who might know!
I was just playing on Madden 08 on my Xbox 360, when the entire console fell over and ironically the game inside was playing.
It now says the disk is damaged/corrupt, you should clean it/restart your console.
This has failed to work and unfortunately there is a circular scratch on the disk, that looks bad. I think it’s screwed and cannot be restored.
Does anyone have any possible solutions to get it working, if not it was £40 down the drain…
I bought it over the internet so there is no way of returning it, I also do not have the receipt to prove i bought it.
Damn Xbox had it for 2 weeks too!
